highschool

by Blue Medley

Grass waving good-bye
Buses hissing to come closer
Wind blowing at my back to go forward
The sky crying as we leave
Chairs rattling against tables jeering us on our walk to the beasts'
Lights shine upon faces of slaves to be conformed by society
The weight of life no one can fix clinging to their backs'
making the walk harder than it should ever be for people this young
we enter the mouth of the beast and it slams shut behind us for no escape
Cold steel on my back as we lurch forward
my head hitting the glass i hope shatters and embeds itself inside my skullÂ…
... On my way to hell

I like your variety of images in this daily trudge to school.

Indeed/indeed. I think you'll be hard-pressed to find someone who doesn't relate to this. Heh. Well done indeed.
