Just plain salamanders?
While our Latin name
Cryptobranchus alleganiensis
Is admittedly a bit unwieldy -
Our alternative nickname,
Hellbender
Has a certain menacing panache.

But no.
You had to gift us
With the moniker snot otter.

Bastards.
