The Sailing Never Ends

by David Garner

scatter my ashes
across the sea
help me become
what I am meant to be

spirit moving
spirit soaring
spirit flying free

tip of the tides
wing of the waves
salt of the sea
and the sun in the sky

when a storm comes blowing
or just a gentle wind
is when my spirit sets sail
and the sailing never ends

spirit moving
spirit soaring
spirit flying free

come dance the ocean
along side me
just let the spirit
lead you gracefully

across the crests
and into the air
cut through the mist
it's freedom everywhere

and when that storm comes blowing
or just a gentle wind
let your spirit set sail
and the sailing never ends

spirit moving
spirit soaring
spirit flying free

right time
right place
right feeling
right space
right water
right boat
right feeling
right float

"let your spirit set sail and the sailing never ends" - I enjoyed this poem very much.
