She Said She

by Joe Cramer

She said she liked me

Yet in reality

She was not free.

This irony

Is not lost on me.

My propensity

Is to simply be

Me, don't you see?

She said, she liked me.

It was not me.

Are you SURE it wasn't you? Liking has nothing to do with freedom, or availability. It may simply have to do with whether or not she is able to kiss you hello.

I've kinda got to agree with Ali. If a girl told you she likes you, yet it's not you, then who are you presenting yourself to be? Is it her fault? And no healthy relationship I know of, interferes with either party liking people, finding people charismatic, attractive, etc. If a relationship does that, it's definitely not healthy but a smothering type that will sooner or later smother out. That's been my experience anyway. Good luck with your dilemma. I get all up in my own head all the time trying to figure out relationships so I tend to empathize with those struggles because I've seldom been continually successful in it except with my children.
