women!

by Charlie Morgan

they march to a blasting beat;
throb, throb the bass of life
echos, echos, echos.

as they turn the corner to Main,
all 17 years piled into a parade,
a life's parade replete with clown.

looking like Cyndi Lauper singing:
girls just wanna have fun. we boys
have been waiting for years for this.

go right ahead, have your fun...just,
let it be me to sell you a two-wheel
tricycle, dead corsages, nights alone.

let me bring your castle down to ruin,
what with all that womanly cleanliness
it is not being lived in, let me take
asunder and apply it until it fits a

man.

Well, Chaz, I've thought about it. I'm pretty sure there must be a box under your bed that you keep pulling these little treasures out of, marked "cuz Chaz loves women". Yep. That's my conclusion. Love this. And love you, you woman lover you! ;-D

You always know how to word these kind of things Chaz! Excellently done.

What a capture! We really are from different planets, aren't we... and yet we meet here on planet earth with the fireworks and the rain. Your view is amazing! Your perspective very much appreciated! Hugs, ~N

Ha! Venus and Mars - what a parade! The last stanza fits them together, not neatly, but perhaps with more reality than a fairy tale. Well done.

This is such a wonderful slideshow from your observations and insight from boys to men. Women, ah, there's the rub.
