asking the impossible

by Charlie Morgan

do physicists always have to be right?
can't i be in two places at the same time?
multi-tasking is what Trump would call it.

i want to be there, you hear me? there! yet,
gravity has me placed here replete with dog,
home, family. ergo, me, my identity is here.

by taking it there i could defy gravity;
punch Newton in the nose, already bloody
from that upstart Einstein, his 'drama.'

i'd take all the loose ends we have untied.
tie them. secure them. then pay homage to you.
large feat for mankind, small, for physicists.

once i stand-up and start my act of defiance it'll
prove i am who i say i am: the man of two cities.
one north, one south. both growing inside of me.

Luckily, our lives "here" on the earthplane are so....short....compared to eternity. On "the other side" we don't worry about time and circumstance so much - we CAN do it all, we never worry about "time", and we are free to pursue any number of interests. You and me, Morgan, we must go way back!!! LOL.

I so get this... I am who I am because of what goes on around me; but I know who else I should be... Oh! The internal fight - Reality versus Me (Fantasy). Continous battle of soul versus flesh. ~N

Yeah...can it be done!??? maybe in meditation we can visit where we are headed (hopefully!) I love the pull of gravity you evoke here...we do need to be grounded even as we ascend... MFS

the form works wonders for this piece. excellent flow. and three cheers for punching newton in the nose. "quantify this," i'd say, and then wham!

and yet you are here with me now... Yeah, Trump and his jets - grumble, grumble... I expect you to show up anytime now, Charlie! Ha!
