obscure horizon. by Emily Tongthat comes with
the territory, you see
you must see it now why
don't you? can't you?
see the fortuitous cliffs mounting
clouds on the
horizon like so many lost
sheep wandering in and out of
rocks and shepherds' unmarked
territory.
that comes with it, you see?
nothing is connected
here at the wall. there's nothing. there's always
a chain-link fence, a chain-link wall
somewhere and
today it is here. the rain will come tonight you
see it now, don't you? one the
horizon. clouds rising and darkness falling.
don't you see it now? somewhere it
makes sense. somewhere there are
no chain-link walls or lost sheep or
hard places.
but that comes with the territory,
you see. 05/11/2007 Posted on 09/02/2008 Copyright © 2024 Emily Tong
