American Snapshots
by Ryan Nardi1. A blue motorcycle strapped to the bed of a red pickup truck.
2. A 300 pound woman in a pink and blue power suit remarking on how customers will be confused if pens and pencils and highlighters aren't displayed in the correct arrangement.
3. A seventeen year old girl with orange skin says into her cellphone, "I don't know."
4. A bleached blonde mother smokes a light cigarette while pushing her child in a stroller.
5. The blonde's husband, wearing a shirt with a police shield, firetruck, flag, gun, and eagle mashed together into a psychedelic emblem, joins the family with a MacDonald's cheeseburger for all three.
6. A frail, pale teenage boy, crouches on the floor of a gymnasiums with blood coming from his nose and three muscular youths standing above him; the teacher--also the football coach--is not distracted from watching the girls playing volleyball. 08/20/2008 Posted on 08/20/2008
