A Hole in My Sock

by Joe Cramer

There's a hole in my sock,

It may come as a shock,

I am simply at a loss

To find new ones at the cost

Of what it might take.

I do believe my mistake

Was thinking far too much

About holes, and such.

your humoresque has a lovely sense and grace. and I would add, that holes in argyles are better than having holes elsewhere, like in a head for instance, which would be futile to mend, given we've run out of thread or the needle itself will have lost its sowing sense.

The good news is, if you have read Harry Potter, mix matched socks are now fashionable, thanks to dobby, the house elf LOL
