You

by George Hoerner

i see all the hues
still stir their colors
in your eyes

while in your soul
reside all loves
as they seek shelter

but is it true
that all my smiles
live in your heart

do all spirits still
swim in the depth
of your body

brilliance still shines
in your mind and yet
you fail to reveal yourself

you are like the wind
silently wandering through my mind
ignoring or touching as you please

or is it my mind
that i lose and find
in some kind of ritual activity

hoping you somehow remember
far into the night or
at early morning when the sun

pours through the window
flooding your mind
with memories

It's as if she can barely be touched by anyone, but one is aching for her to recognize again. Haunting.

Quite captivating - lovely pacing.
