Everything

by George Hoerner

there is only everything
Being and Nothingness
and as zero holds infinity
within its circle

nothingness holds the potential
to become all
everything holds nothingness
within its cycle
of expansion and contraction

while our language of logic
defines only half the cycle
not that which is irrational

and points of singularity
exist we say to explain
that which we do not understand
that which we call irrational

because we have yet to invent
the oldest form of logic
perception with forgotten senses
and is eternity anything
except the return from
Being to Nothingness
and again
Nothing to Being
and again
and again

"Being to nothingness" ... and how it circles the cycle of life/death. This is really what the "big picture" is, and I am sending it directly to my faves! Namaste MFS

I think you are touching on soul-sense, stuff not meant for human calculations. Scientists still want to 'splain it all, when the truth is so much of it is meant to be inconceivable to us as mortals. I think as much as it can be understood, you've got it and express it brilliantly here, George!

Lifes cycle is what I see here in it's most primal form. Spring has sprung and ashes to ashes. I love "lifes oldest form of logic" and the explaination. Amazing, philosophical, deep and true!

A fascinating view of what I see as Reincarnation (last lines).

everything that isn't anchored down in my spirit is dervishing round and indicative that such orbits are manifested out of a central quality in which this poem is rooted.
