Tragedy Of The Commons

by Kristi Paik

To the fruits of the rational mind
Contradiction, the greatest friend of yours and mine…
Expression, execute, example…. explain?
The never-ending trial to find the one with bloody hands
While the source of inspiration with porcelain skin and hazel lit eyes
look oh so beautiful from afar,
Once reached the destination,
Burnt inscriptions oozing puss is all over inspirations face
And those eyes… are as black as the night.
And we are the “so called” youth of the nation?
Hippopotamus the hypocrite throwing more coal into the fire,
Enjoying that ever so preservable fridge, always there
To put life on ice.

Indeed. It does kind of shake your ability to argue against the idea that people on average suck, doesn't it? Great piece.

ego-centrism isn't a bad thing...unless it's the only thing...good reflections here

Makes the cliche about "bad apples spoiling the barrel" appear up-to-date! Use of exaggeration certainly emphasizes your point.
