1. imagine the rose by Kathleen Wilsonimagine the rose petals
wither and fall
into a bowl back home
count the days
until our return 05/13/2008 Author's Note: posted from Shanghai, China.
We just got here! I left some drying roses
from a poet friend to let their petals
fall while we are gone. Wrote that on the plane.

Posted by A. Paige White on 05/13/08 at 07:35 PM Wow, Kathie! Beautiful poem. How close is Shanghai to the epicenter? Let us know how things are. I saw the news this morning (guess you can tell my mental world map is quite vague as to chinese geography) and was horrified. I would be fascinated to hear what you find, maybe in your journal? Please have a safe trip. |
