i do concede

by Maria Massarella

i do concede
you pervade me
vibrant in
amative games of tag
dance me
on your breath

my perfumed hair
silken swirls
around
your
fingers

spirit rising
weaves
spirals of
bliss
into the
atmo
sphere

i revel
in preludes
of your
touch

Ave
Vento di Lunedì

This has overtones of a walk in the park. Methinks I detect a little Angel in Nonna’s curly locks. A discovery worth concession and a memory worth confession! Me likes.

Fresh breezes blow upon the fevered brow In words of pleasured innocence I mark them well and go on my way Refreshed

"i do concede you pervade me vibrant in amative games of tag" - what a captivating opening to a captivating poem Maria. It could be Monday's wind or a lover, and who is to say the wind doesn't feel like a lover on such a day, in such a mood...beautiful as always Maria, and by the way I too adore the line "amative games of tag" as it is so playfully creative. :-)

Or it could be the love of a grandchild, or so many different kinds of adoration! Your shimmering soul sings to me, Maria! Love to you, darling one.
