May Day Bouquet

by Kristina Woodhill

Today is May Day
time to play a childish trick
flowers to my mom

Today is May Day
time to knock and run away
flowers to my mom

Today is May Day
grateful for tradition's nudge
tulips, here I come!

Author's Note: Sometimes the simple acts of childhood make me smile the most. I intend to be a child for at least part of today. ;)

This painted the loveliest picture in my mind. May you play and play on the first of May and carry such play into every other day, as well!

I never did the May Day thing, so I never remember that it's coming! Thanks for this sweet and lovely reminder!

I remember, and it has been too long! Happy belated May Day. Thanks.

I recall May Day as having something to do with Russia's big military parade! You've introduced me to something I do not remember having heard. Endearing!
