"Honey, I've been thinking blah, blah, blah....." by Sandy M. HumphreyMy voice is weak from pouring forth words and phrases yet unheard
Repetitive cycle has given me carpel tunnel of the larynx
I vow to remain silent and rest in a vacuum of question marks
Knowing my resolve will dissipate and fold into frustration
Due to total lack of recognition of my withdrawal from conversation
I am resigned to the task of learning to accept hearing my own voice
Speaking from within for sometimes it seems I am the only one
Other than my Creator who truly gets what I am going on and on and on
(Pardon me if I quote you wont you dear) about or maybe it is only
I who truly feels so passionately for this moment, this subject, and you

Posted by Gregory O'Neill on 04/23/08 at 09:15 PM Hi Sandy. This poem seems to "pour forth" or out anyways, and I'll bet it felt good to get it on paper. And it makes a definitive statement about the narrator. Well said. Thanks. |

Posted by Siri Lipscomb on 08/29/08 at 01:12 PM How creatively done. Venus and Mars do align with the stars once in awhile tho, which makes it all so darn perfect...... |
Posted by Glenn Currier on 01/04/10 at 04:18 PM Ah, yes, listening IS one of the greatest acts of love. I am sure I don't always appreciate the love others give me when I go on and on... which I have a bad tendency to do. Thanks, Sandy. |
