The Voyage for....

by Anastasia Shows

Surveying the landscape,
william went searching
for treasure.
adventure.
fulfillment.
intrigue.

He wasn't as ambitious as
Ponce De leon.
Marco Polo.
Christopher Colombus.

William didn't expect gold
silver.
jewels.
truthfully, he didn't know
what he wanted to find.

All he knew is that he wanted it.
First he found, an endlessly
flowing fountain...
that which quenched the thirst,
and yet made you thirsty at the same time.

Many jugs of this
nectar of life
gathered.
carried onward.

Over many hills and valleys,
and eventual rest was made
in the valley of
two twin mountains
of awe inspiring beauty.
and yet he camped there for
only a day.
but took an
explicit mental note.

Finally, he found a deep cave
damp.
warm.
perfect.
He now calls it home.
