Haiku Series I by Julie AdamsI
minutes before eight
there is stillness in the halls
but day is brewing
my entrance breaks noise
door, lock, metal frees itself
I am in, alone
like snippets of film
habit occurs in flashes
lights, power, mug, breath
04/12/2008 Author's Note: there is a haiku box on my floor at work, this will be my first entry...a few of us thought it might be fun to gear the poems towards the experience of working there/in publishing...a fun little game, there may be a winner and a prize, not that it matters, the fun is in the creation...hope there are more to come...enjoy

Posted by Lacy D Phillips on 04/16/08 at 04:10 AM I did a similar thing in lunes once. It was fun and frustrating all at the same time. |
