Quaver by Alison McKenzieSomething about the way my
Hands-free headset
Rests on my computer table
Nauseates me
I am fascinated by the phenomenon
I dont make a move to adjust it
I simply observe it as it
Leers
Taunts
Becomes a foul-mouthed heckler
In some language I dont speak at all
There are days when it all strikes me this way
Some inanimate object or random phrase
Juxtaposes itself onto my reality
And Im thrown for a loop
For just a minute
Until I right it somehow
Continue on with my day
As if there was never a glitch at all
And I wonder if I will ever wake up
