elsewhere

by Emily Tong

I've been
dreaming in color, today.
riding a girl's bicycle,
skirt rippling in the wind, like i imagined so
many others' used to.

(young, alive) freshness of the evening
washing over in blue waves
and palm trees outlined against
the stars,
the stars slowly disappearing
behind tomorrow's rainclouds.
i press my hand against the
sky, as coolness just starts to set in,

as the stars seem to move with the clouds
on to Elsewhere.
