Hours
by Steven Craig
Souls are meshed wires in the wind,
Crossed for strength that makes a life
Rebound from its own floor
The mind is that caravan of dreams
Taken on the road to the eternal arch.
Death is only one less heartbeat
In a life prolonged out of hope
Fear is the need to breathe
And hold the love one lost years ago.
Now its just a day in the past
An hour that fades more each year
Being the trial of ones days
A vision that is the dream to be
Lost forever on the road to its rocky shore
The ocean of tears waits for you like it does for me
In the darkness where it dashed the day
And held me sweetly one last embrace.
