Falling Down

by Steve Baba

The cloudy skies
Are pregnant with rain,

The green grassy hills
Open their mouths
For another helping,

Mountain tops will
Surely get dusted,

White snow
So light and soft.

I loved the gentle visuals as they brushed across my mind's eye as I read through.... aloha....;-)

Checking out your writing and I enjoy your skill with language and your light touch that invites the reader into your thoughts. In this one, I thought that 'The green grassy hills open their mouths for another helping' was a very effective image.

Sets a verbal atmosphere. Nature in its normal beauty.

'pregnant with rain' is gorgeous imagery. Very memorable.

Congrats on POTD! This retains its delicate feeling from when I first read it.
