The Fireplace by Tony WhitakerDancing flames of fireplace
erase the pains
of days disdains,
allowing mind the time,
to sit beside
one who warms on sands
of some Pacific isle
and sees the world,
a blue marble on black velvet,
sunning on a grain of sand,
of our rare desert paradise.
