sequestered bower by Kathleen Wilsonhe sends his words
into a fragile
blue-black silence
positive of negative
his velvet night
her wings
in his nested embrace
she becomes
a mirror cabinet
a plaything of shooting stars
her body his map
of constellations
he feeds the bird
his vision
with his song
02/20/2008 Author's Note: inspired by the works of Joseph Cornell (a composite)

Posted by Gregory O'Neill on 02/21/08 at 08:19 AM Cannot for the life of me locate the work which has inspried your art here (was it an untitled, subtitled work I wonder). But I will say this, you lead down a path I can well imagine."Plaything od shooting stars" is delightful. And I like the whole of this very much. Thanks. |

Posted by A. Paige White on 02/25/08 at 02:57 PM "his velvet night her wings" is a song unto itself. This is gorgeous in the presentation of a oneness for which all poets surely yearn. My pick for potd. |
Posted by David Garner on 02/27/08 at 04:55 PM each stanza contains such vivid imagery. "blue-black silence", "velvet night", "mirror cabinet",
"a plaything of shooting stars", the final stanza in its entirety. beautiful. |
