And no one but him could find everything written on this page, my heart shearing, flipped left to right to find the mantra keepng me up at night. Soft in the middle, bristling all around our center stage.
But he doesn't watch me. What a shame.

Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 02/16/08 at 06:51 PM I really enjoyed sifting through this poem on paper in front of me, seeing the process of your writing it, enjoying the framing of the words, and then noticing the smaller words draped along the scallops of red pen. I like the technique of the footprints in the snow leading me from the past to the present. I like the sound of the crackling paper ice, the song never hummed or sung with you. The shed breath and lashes falling - magic.... Your words evoke so many feelings. |
