Love, Your Love

by Charles M Harrison

The world around changes
days pass and things rearrange.
What was thought would last
disappears like smoke, so strange.
Foundations shake and falter
leaving doubts in their wake.
Where can one find stability
when there is so much at stake.
Love, your love. A shining star
that guides this lost soul.
The comforting healing power
that can make the broken whole.
When all is chaos and confusion
when I stumble and can not cope.
Love, your love. A beacon in the dark
is my only refuge, my only hope.
The world around changes
days pass and things rearrange.
What was thought would last
disappears like smoke, so strange.
Only one thought, one thought only
saves me from losing my sanity.
Knowing that a wonderful caring soul
could care for and love me.
