Three Words

by Maria Massarella

Photobucket

If words
could ever enslave one
then you have chained me
with yours
Feathered your quill
ignites my skin
Mystic your soul-whispers
melody my breath
quiver love sighs - yet
Engraved
in my heart were
the magic words
I Love You
long before you ever
felt the need to
hear them uttered
long before you ever
came to sip them
from my lips
