By poets or Astronaughts? (rictameter)

by A. Paige White

Atlas
at last unbound
charts and graphs reconnect
the earth from sky by satellite
we've mapped by flight, the sky, the clouds, held not
by some titan under a curse
poets or astronauts
with maps we've bound
Atlas

Author's Note: My first try at a rictameter in response to a challenge in the words at play forum. Jadi's "cloud games" still rolled around in my head... and somehow in the clouds of the moment I saw the dying shadow of an atlas-t!

Clever and you forever impress with your mastery of the play on words.

He is only bound if you see with eyes. See with heart and below this rictameter is a big burly man with a bad back. Exquisite verse!! :)

I'm so happy the Words at Play forum is coming alive again. Your rictameter goes from earth to the heavens and back to earth again into the unlimited sphere of a poet's mind. Wonderful!
