Sway of Tranquil

by Alison McKenzie

Tonight I rest
In a soft bed of gratitude
Tucked snuggly between sheets of requital
Blankets of atonement warming me to the bone
Christmas sweetened by the oil of grace

For no apparent reason
I am blessed

Drifting in this stream of reparation
Into the new year
Sleepy eyes of brilliant wonder
Blissful elixir of appreciation
Integral perfection of moments

No lack
No sadness
No pain

Discovering, instead, the stillness of

Abundance
Joy
Peace

Dance of tranquility come to embrace me
Happy sighs of breathing easy
For all is well at last

but seriously, there is something to be said for peaceful gratitude for the blessings in our lives, and you have said it very well here.

A perfect moment shared with all. I love your spacing of word groups and use of bed, sheets and blankets. Your expressed gratitude is a joyful thing, much appreciated.
