A Blood Red Moon by Jersey D GibsonThe great big stop sign in the sky
peerless in the night.
Heavy stone forever heavenbound
with its majectic might.
Turn the ground red with your light
enigma of your normally pale face.
Rise high in day or night
something the sun can never do.
On your one-way track around the globe
never let us see your back, right?
A tell-tale sign of paranoia
is that why madmen rule the night? 12/26/2007
Author's Note: This came to me on a mission at night when lying on the ground, got to see a blood red moonrise in perfectly clear skys, and 100% full moon. very beautiful and haunting

Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 12/26/07 at 03:54 PM A unique perspective - the "great big stop sign", the "Heavy stone forever heavenbound" and a fascinating last two lines. |
Posted by Brett Shane on 12/26/07 at 06:32 PM no telling what you'll think of on those damn night missions... :| makes for interesting inspiration, though. |
