who's counting what?

by Charlie Morgan

afternoon whirls around showing off her new dress;
plush with breezy pleats of warm, stirring the air
and no rough winds to stop the hem from flying high.

i dance a jingle thru the parking lot, she spins me
and gently lets me smile back at her as she waltzes
alone until the next downtowner needs a kindly lift.

mixed emotions are my laser to work ahead of me now;
noises reminding me of new buildings, new growth and
i'm busy spelling osteoporisis forward, then backward.

Charlie, you can make the most ordinary afternoon appear like a beautiful woman and bring out the hidden issues that are at the root of noticing the day.

Alot going on here, Charlie!!! But I love the vision of this beautiful distraction, the whirling woman and her dress.

A dancing reminder of warmth and breezy moments just ready for us to join in. Quite charming - it lifts me gently even as you remind me in the end of realities I have to deal with daily. Somehow I don't worry so much after reading this.

Grimacing and grabbing her back, the Chaz breeze oscillates while decoding his last line...
and suddddenly the keyboard crashes to the floor to add an extra special element of sudden to her surprise
as her shriek of dismay reaches upward and outward the boy friend of daughter rushes to her rescue. Record time reassembly provokes "You made that look so simple!" and replies to her appreciation, "I may have done it once or twice, maybe twice more than once."
Sis i ropo esto to you, dear sir! And I thoroughly enjoyed your verses! Whew! even if it was a battle to comment on it.

it feels like any afternoon and it feels like an extraordinary afternoon... to capture both and walk away like it was just a dream, but too real to be just that... i'd like to walk with her.
