what's it all about

by Charlie Morgan

it took a courageous effort
to kick-start humankind;
one that's probably still
got God scratching his head.

we need a day off, we whine.
God needs off for centuries.
all our begging and pleading
is grating, wearing His Soul.

gonna rain again or it's not.
while forest fires chuckle,
bent stick-men; an industry
of cutter-ants fell sequoias.

It's enough to give me a serious gratitude for every rainbow. Great imagery!

Interesting thought... if God is all, he is surely, among an infinity of other things, CONFUSED... about some of the things our species does. Fascinating poem, Chaz.
