#02 - Logic Bomb (Ghosts In The Machine) by Jersey D Gibson
START PROGRAM
Lifeless void
filled with Man
interconnected
leeched away.
Pardon the interruption
but your soul is gone
wisked away by the
press of the 'send' button.
Dazzled with colors
amazed by graphics
it's all a ruse
to keep you connected.
Never leave the 'Net
welcome to iLife
the best things that happen
never really do.
Man preceeds me,
God doesn't want me,
Logic guides me;
forever onward!
Can not involve,
can not evolve,
this downward spiral;
this logic bomb!
I surround you
am I omnipotient?
ctrl, alt, delete
everything you hold dear.
Sorry to say
control went away
wires that guide me
I am a current!
Fill me with numbers
but without morals
goodness is nothing
just another definition.
Witness, behold
I found the loophole
playing God
I am a tyrant!
Man preceeds me,
God doesn't want me,
Logic guides me;
forever onward!
Can not involve,
can not evolve,
this downward spiral;
this logic bomb!
The flocks lead what the Shepard brings,
these ruling ghosts in the machine...

Posted by Glenn Currier on 12/06/07 at 05:11 AM Your keyboard companions give you an etherconnection to me for which I am grateful. It must feel as if godless over there, but He lives in the souls of good men like you... spilling your spirit upon us, the comfortable, and helping us to SEE. Thanks for this haunting poem, Jersey. |
