All the rest of you got prescribed sleep aids,
But my doctor was afraid…
He thought that I’d abuse the drugs
So now I drink myself to sleep
It’s the only way for my sanity to keep.

I just can’t sleep at night!
I’ve got demons that I’ve yet to fight,
And I don’t want to see the darkness of my eyes.
No, I don’t want to the inside of my eyelids.

Daddy tells me not to tell him about my coincidences anymore,
He doesn’t want to know about the hallucinations
He says its all in my imagination
And to let sleeping dogs lie.
But I just can’t let him in my mind die.
