beautiful light

by Mary Frances Spencer

i have known you
before forever
and will meet you
after never

at this present
moment
we are beautiful light
surrounding
together

The brevity here works well....

If we could keep our relationships this simple, life would be good.

I would agree Kristina. A writer friend of mine left her journal out by mistake. Her husband read it and they are now divorced. Maybe her mistake was not a mistake at all. But I believe love can come and go and come again. The poem is nice but for me forever is longer than anything can last I'm afraid. But still a nice read.

The presence of this poem glows with such a moment as we have all felt, when no more need be said. The timelessness, completeness speak through it. It is what we all wish for, and even if the momentary configuration is short... it is never forgotten and "makes its mark on our souls", as another poet has said.

I wouldn't change a thing. Love it!

Ah! Very lovely. For me, it speaks not of forever but of a perfect present moment....which is a precious thing. I carry several around in my pocket :-)
