November by Leonard M HawkesAutumn's Gold is ocher now, or less;
The summer's charge for Green now laid to rest,
And Cold, a staunch companion every Night,
And Warmth, the hope of Day, a gift of Light.
Settling-in I wait now for the Snow,
Short icy days--and Christmas' Glow. 11/16/2007 Author's Note: In the garden.
