prayer to lips

by Maria Massarella

Were I to
speak to you
of the spaces I dwell
in
'twould be
to seed the
awakened dream
beyond the spoken word
where you
would come to gather
the sacred I treasure within

'twould stir open
the lips of this elysium
where breath
voices complacent
ocean murmurs divined
pure to lips
in drops of eternity

'twould be
to lure you in enamoured
embrace to where reverent the
 heart need not justify its
rhythm nor pulse
unsatiated hungers
to wed
unquenched thirsts

for there
where Spirit knows no
carpe diem
there is naught to be taken
away or be given
in this space
where all I am
is yours

Love all the "twoulds" & in this space where all I am is yours is a great ending. Beautiful!

This one is such a beautiful melody from the soul... .a tender love song from one just as beautiful, you. ;-)

Wow! Shakespeare eat your heart out. Adds to favourites.
