another taste

by Mary Frances Spencer

some moments
glow in their own time
emanate purpose
radiate phermonal
and draw
you moth
to flame
in flow
with universe
the night outside
heavy sleep
dark sky blanket
but you
tattered wings
intense unbroken
will
fly again and again
into the glass
for another taste
of
the fireĀ…

Author's Note: Some moments have a kind of timeless intensity that just seem to draw you (or me) in... MFS

We are so much like moths in our insistence on somethings in our lives. I love this so much, I'm putting it on my favorites.

I couldn't agree more; especially when you can share those moments with someone special. Very well stated! And welcome to Pathetic.org. :o)
