another taste by Mary Frances Spencersome moments
glow in their own time
emanate purpose
radiate phermonal
and draw
you moth
to flame
in flow
with universe
the night outside
heavy sleep
dark sky blanket
but you
tattered wings
intense unbroken
will
fly again and again
into the glass
for another taste
of
the fireĀ

Author's Note: Some moments have a kind of timeless intensity that just seem to draw you (or me) in... MFS

Posted by Michelle Angelini on 11/11/07 at 11:03 PM We are so much like moths in our insistence on somethings in our lives. I love this so much, I'm putting it on my favorites.
