i been watching by Charlie Morganwhen time was born, so was i;
and an infant eye sees much.
all that is in view is caught,
examined with scrutiny of use.
we relentlessly pick up things at 9mos.,
furiously drop things at 16 yrs. old:
family, father, mom, friends[of old].
discarded to the curb for pick-up.
watching all this from my cosmic window
humors me: the ant's pace felling timber.

Posted by Kathleen Wilson on 11/08/07 at 05:41 PM whew... what a view... all through I feel time slowing down, and the perspective deepening,,, until we're inside of you and feel the look from inside out... at that slow pace of monumental movement and a touch of humoring enough to fell a tree... and me... and time too...
Posted by Alison McKenzie on 11/08/07 at 06:34 PM I think I'd like to see the expanded version of this....all that inbetween 9 months and 16 years - observations and the like.
Posted by Maria Massarella on 11/08/07 at 06:45 PM i love the opening line ... the closure and all that's in between - like the cosmic window from which you watch ... all things ... *m.a
Posted by Morgan D Hafele on 11/18/07 at 07:31 PM i had to read this several times, each time i found i liked it more than before... how i do wish i could watch from that cosmic window.
