come swim

by George Hoerner

come swim
into the blue river
of my eyes

let my mind
massage the thoughts
long lost

as i recall
the braille of your body
the braille of your mind

the low and high tides
of our relationship
flow through the
rooms of my mind
looking for resolution

doors opening and closing
and the motion creates
light changing breezes

which push the fog
covering some feelings
while unearthing others

distractions finally bring peace
as the dogs ask
to go out

George, the crisp and inviting nature of this poem bites me in the heart, where it hurts so good. And in the end I can almost hear the barks of those dogs like tides begging to go out.

...allll this importance to OUR life and durning all the Shakespearian sound and fury, the dog wants out...love the way you inertwined the serious w/ the mundane and usual.
