Piano Man

by Harold Millican

Play me a song
So that I can sing along
And feel the emotions,
The right and the wrong
Play me a note
That I feel in my head
When I slumber in bed
in the dim of my night
Be my piano man
There to lull me away
To help me say goodbye to yesterday
Be my piano man, now
And dry my eyes
And shield me from the white lies
Save me, O piano man
Play your scales perfectly
So that I may rest
quietly
And every note will echo a light
That will be a beacon for me on a lonely night

Beautiful rhythm. Sentimental and tender.

One fine poem Harold given piano is my favourite instrument and you echoed my feelings perfectly.

Really lovely. I'm happy to discover your library. There is definitely music in your words.
