Sometimes by Chris Sorrenti
Sometimes it seems
There’s a need to write poetry
When the poet is no longer the poem
Each day a lost set of stanzas
Gasping in forced rhyme
When one writes poetry
Sometimes
It’s all the poetry he or she really needs

Posted by Coleman Demiurge on 10/29/07 at 08:25 AM Your poem "Sometimes" is quite good, but I think this one is even better. The lines that got me the most were "Each day a lost set of stanzas/ Gasping in forced rhyme"... So very true. Excellent work! |
Posted by Morgan D Hafele on 10/29/07 at 03:49 PM the 2 poems really compliment each other i think because sometimes there is a need and sometimes it just is. i like how sometimes is the key word, it feels almost zen to me, the way they kind of just shrug and accept. great pieces! |

Good one. How true. |
