Time Trails

by George Hoerner

while i question time
and look for the rhyme
that might stick in your mind

i see it flying so fast
the future and the past
the present will not last

it seems there is much more
of what has gone before
than what may be in store

I could see you adding a line here or a stanza there, I suppose, but what you do have here is good stuff.

what can I say, George, but your poems are honest and of this Earth and always touch me where I live, which is no woodsie place but these days is entirely composed of asphalt, tar, and barbed wire fencing, which is no consolation to one seeking a wilder and milder and leafier existence.
