dollie (haiku) by Melissa Arel
miniature mother
suffocating the dollie
tucked under her arm

Author's Note: Isabelle loves this one doll she got for her birthday last year. She took off all its clothes and bring its everywhere: in the sandbox, on trips to Grandma's house, for walks around the neighborhood.. The poor naked doll needs a rest! :)

Posted by Rhiannon Jones on 09/24/07 at 02:06 AM Oh, sweet! The all-or-nothing mini-maternal love of little girls can indeed be suffocating. |
