Gaps in Geography

by A. Paige White

When some see only torn topography
empty gaps in a lonely geography
"Child, that will play"
Is the Father's word.

Might have missed the shot
but you're not forgot
in a world that has gone astray

Each to pursue his own wisdom,
what is right in his own eyes.

The gaps in His geography are giggling
while His topography is still wiggling
in pierced hands forming every today

Take joy! I am in the play.

The gaps in my geography are giggling
while my topography is still wiggling
in pierced hands forming our today

I am the truth, the life, the way
Remember to treasure all that I say.

Might have missed the shot
but you're not forgot
Your name is on my hands, alway.

When some see only torn topography
empty gaps in a lonely geography
"Child, that will play"
You can rest assured.

Author's Note: trying some revisions at Chris's suggestion. So I'm still playing with this one. (topography wiggles)

Thought provoking play between creator and created. The Author's Note is quite good too!

I love the
"When some see only torn topography

You are getting more and more cleverin your imagery my dear Paige. We also have the same love for Him. Nice work Paige,

You say so cogently, "We may see all the loose ends on the back of the taipastry, but God sees the front!" You've use an engaging methaphor.

OOPS! That's metaphor.
