Skeleton Key

by Quinlan L Gibson

When did passion leave the room?
In such a fashion; no compassion in the matter of just yanking it away.
Take the child from play and see what happens.
Distractions or minor infractions
gouge your mind and close your eyes.
Any other woman may think you are in disguise; evil jealousy despises faith
And I am not that girl.
Consider yourself lucky in the presence of my trust.
This is not of love; this is purely of my lust.

This is quite the tightly wound ball of emotion and spiritual energy. Excellent choice of title also; really opens the way for the expression that follows.
