Spring
And people die but
Love springs eternal and
New growth appears
Providing hope and freshness
In the world
Summer
And people die but
It's vacation time
We go to the beach
Tan ourselves
Refresh ourselves
Preparing for hard work
Fall
And people die but
The leaves turn
Providing beauty in abundance
Thanksgiving gives us pause
To acknowledge our blessings
Winter
And people still die but
The wind turns brisk
Forcing us to seek warmth
allowing a circle of friends
around the hearth
looking forward
to a new and exciting year
But people still die
And we know
No season will
ever bring a
Season of Peace
George, I take much pride in reading your poetry, and this one is no exception, saving each read is a humbling experience. You speak volumes into the cornucopia of my ear which is e'er made the richer.
