staying in place. by Andrew S Adamsin the other room,
she's swearing at strangers
while the wallpaper seals it's
lips;
and i slip inside the
nondescript slits she's ripped
written in script, she's spared the
poetic justice just as she
hangs up the phone and
collapses in the corner of
my room, the walls holding her
secrets too tightly as they
close in, in, in until her
secrets are screaming for
somewhere to go-
they ain't stayin' in place,
darling. 09/09/2007 Posted on 09/09/2007 Copyright © 2024 Andrew S Adams
