terminal stillness by Matthew Sharpterminal stillness found
time speeds by in gaps of acclamation
to adapt souls shaky in impatience
tremors to mirror the mirage
a distortion
blowing out the torch of proportion
shining in an illusive corner
temptations leash pulls with promises
of breeding preachers
to thoughtlessly teach intimidation
to increase the cage population
scratching layers of paint off the wall in frustration
restless despair
band-aid prayer
an abominable will to kill
for whats not there
filling the divine cup with emptiness
spilling over in shallow reflections
the virus stands in front of its projection
an infection 08/27/2007 Posted on 08/28/2007 Copyright © 2024 Matthew Sharp
