Topic: the name she couldn't remember by Ava Blu
sheÂ’s letting his face take up too much effort
a strain on her eyes
she cannot help but to
keep forcing the smile
she is alright
she is fine
she is alright
she is not fine
sheÂ’s letting him talk to some other girl
as she jumps for the next ride
take her away
she wants him to go away
but she wonÂ’t say it
sheÂ’ll just float beside him
picking up the conversation
at all the wrong tryÂ’s
she is not alright
he turns up the bottle
turn down the volume
her tears donÂ’t get in his way
the cat and mouse
eat one another
simply because they can
and she is not alright
but he says she wonÂ’t remember tomorrow.

"she wants him to go away
but she won’t say it
she’ll just float beside him" ... these lines particularly got to me. I know I've been there before. Great poem, Jeanna.
